The Ashley AF1600E add on furnace is designed to use in conjunction with your existing HVAC ductwork and work seamlessly with your existing furnace. It is EPA certified to be clean burning and meets all current EPA guidelines. With twin 800 CFM blowers and up to 180,000BTU's it is designed to heat a home up to 3000 Sq. Ft. This unit is made with a firebrick lined plate steel firebox surrounded by brilliant red painted steel giving the unit an eye appealing look. Connection to your existing ductwork is easy with the dual 8 In. heat outlets. It has front mounted air controls for precise burn settings and also completes with the optional motorized natural draft system. This allows the furnace to be controlled by a thermostat in your living space. When the thermostat calls for more heat, the system opens an intake damper allowing more oxygen to the fire creating a hotter burn. Once the room is warm, the system then closes the damper returning the stove to a normal burn rate. This furnace uses re-burn technology that does not require the use of expensive catalysts making it very easy to maintain. Warm air furnaces are designed for use with new or existing ductwork in your home. They are typically installed in a basement or garage but may also be used in workshops. These furnaces have a large firebox surrounded by an air cavity that is heated by the fire inside. One or more dedicated blowers push air through this space where it is warmed approximately 40 degrees before exiting into the ductwork. Installation of a cold air return is essential so that it creates a circulation of air from the living space, past the heat exchanger and then back into the living space. These furnaces are the silent workhorse for heating your home.
