should be called a different color because it is not bright white (it's the color I personally needed but if I was looking for bright white, this would be misleading as a description. Tile is fine otherwise

Starting Line White vs Ice White

I’ve used this family of tile on several projects. I would call the Starting Line a slightly off white and the Ice White a bright white. I learned on the first project the difference between the two colors with my multi hued white shower. If you really want white then Ice White is what you are looking for. Slightly pink

There is a pink or peachy undertone so I wouldn't consider this tile.

Great tile

Surprise they are slightly off white! But it's pretty obvious when you look at them. They are high quality and made in America. I redid my tub surround with them and couldn't be happier. They call it starting line white for a reason, it's there own color its not going to match white white but I love the color and the quality. 5 stars all the way!

Can never go wrong with American Olean Subway!

We have done many many tile jobs over the years, DIY. Have been using American Olean for years. This larger subway did not disappoint. Easy to install/cut/grout etc. It's nice that you have bullnose, caps, etc. We used the Mapei grout color silver.

Great Color and Price

Super happy with this tile for our kitchen backsplash. I noticed other reviews mentioned it's off-white but I looks white to us and it goes great against our white kitchen cabinets. We shopped around a ton and this was by far the best priced. Glad we chose this tile!

NOT BRIGHT WHITE

I would recommend this size of tile to a friend. It's a nice size without looking like it comes from an underground metro station. But its not white, at all. It's an off white, and if you are putting it up against something else white, it's just going to look dull and dingy. Home Depot has the bright white your'e looking for (and I've never been a fan of Home Depot).

Great Buy

I added a photo so you could see that these tiles are not a bright white like the bathtub, which is the only reason I knocked it one star. But i love the size and the price! Overall, im very happy with choosing this tile.

Not white

These tiles are off white. Save yourself the trouble do not buy them if you are wanting a real white tile. Will not match grout or white light switch plates. You will really notice it once you've got it all don't and put on your pretty new white light switch covers. Highly dissatisfied. I repeat DO NOT BUY if you want a true white tile. MISLEADING DESCRIPTION.

The tile is slightly off white. Looked like a good match before grouting. More noticeable after it was grouted with brown grout. No isues otherwise.
