Great product - terrible aftermarket

This dryer will work fantastic until the day it doesn’t. Our vent got clogged while we were out and the resulting humidity damaged the display board. Regardless of what happened the display board should be tolerable enough to handle that issue. When I went to replace the part, it’s not only impossible to find it’s well over $200. Control Board dead after 2 years

For context, we have this dryer at out vacation home/cottage, so it gets very little use compared to the dryer we have at our home. The issue we had occurred after about 18 months Err would appear on the display. It was not consistent, sometimes it would display when trying to begin the cycle, within 2-3 minutes, or sometimes in 15-30 minutes. Update, still junk

Below is a review I posted in April of last year. When I posted, Amana did respond and sent me a new module and I replaced it. It worked again for about 6 months and then I ordered a temp sensor and replaced that. Now here we are again, no power and probably needs another module. Junk

We purchased this set less than a year ago and have had nothing but problems with them. The washer will not dispense fabric softener and the dryer is knocking and not drying clothes. It takes over two hours for even a small load of towels. Sensor will turn the dryer off when the edges are dry but the centers are still wet. Have to put every load on timed dry just to get them done. I would suggest looking at a different set.

Do better!

Horrible! Don't purchase. The control panel goes out and there is nothing in the manual about that. The dryer doesn't fully dry and turns on when it wants to. Past the warranty time of course and yours stuck with a crappy dryer and zero available help! Do better!

iF THE HPUSE IS MORE THAN 25 YEARS OLD RECONSIDER.

My home is older so the item sould not be hook up because of the electrical. The delivery service didn't even have any interest in stacking even with the kit. Nor did they even give any help or direction, information on what my next step would be to hook up the dryer.So I returned the dryer . I'll go another route to get a dryer. NOT HAPPY...

Attractive and effective product

We have not had an Amana product before and were unsure of how the product would work. We’re very happy and glad that we got this product. The dryer works great and is very attractive in looks. It is also large enough for our needs.

Worst dryer I've ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is just over 2 years old and stopped heating. It was terrible at drying to begin with and took longer than any dryer I have ever owned.

Large capacity, easy to use clothes dryer.

Set up and install was quick and efficient. Love the many choices for drying. So far, have used several choices and all were very good. Buttons have large print, easy to read. All controls are on the front side, not on top at the back. This makes it much easier to use for a short person. Lint collector is easy to remove and clean after each load. Love everything about the clothes dryer!!
