The HEPA-Silver filter includes the performance of the standard True HEPA filter that captures allergens like dust, pollen, dander, and fur, with the added benefit of a treatment to the filter that aides in trapping mold, bacteria and fungi. A pre-filter, attached to the front, helps to remove the larger dust, dander and hair and pet fur from the air and can be gently vacuumed to extend the life of the filter. Thick layers of HEPA filtration material is what matters the most when air filtration is concerned and Alen makes very thick filters that fit snuggly into the filtration compartment for optimal performance.
