This two-in-one hybrid filter cartridge is made from a unique blend of polyphosphate and activated carbon media to effectively control scale and corrosion as well as remove chlorine. Select granular coconut shell activated carbon is used to remove organic contaminants and chlorine. The food-grade polyphosphate clear bead media is added to reduce scale buildup by applying a self-healing coating to water pipes and appliances to prevent further development of scale and corrosion. FI-SCALECAB20-BB is compatible with 20 in. standard whole house housings and can treat up to 12,000 gallons of water.
