The strap like slim leaves emerge in the fall, and in mid-spring the tall flower stalks appear fully packed (50-100 blossoms) with blue colored flowers that can last for weeks. Star quality without the prima donna attitude or cost. It is an easy plant to grow, given proper conditions. The plant goes dormant over summer. Good naturalizers.
