This is the exact item I use (cut of course to dimensions of the Bookcases) as a Backerboard on the bookcases themselves. This stiffens up the entire unit, levels it out, and bradding it to the bookcase is easy enough to do (I also brad it to the fixed shelves as well -- extra security). NOTHING falls out the back of the units anymore (and you don't have to dig behind your bookcases or unload them to retrieve what fell behind). All in all .. a good way to enhance your economical purchase of ...
Affordable wall facelift
We wanted something we could afford to change the look of our living room walls. This paneling we found at Lowe's did the trick. It made a nice change of our living room appearance and did not empty our wallets. The price met our budget and the in store availability of the panels made our day. We are very happy with this purchase.

Very thin and pliable, but looks nice. Cuts with a utility knife for a very easy DIY project. I used it to cover the walls of a walk-in attic (after applying closed-cell spray foam insulation). It's a little sturdier than a typical Lowe's cardboard box used for kitchen appliances. If you want more rigid stuff, you'll spend twice as much, or more, to get it.
Not the best but O.K.
I got this to cover the side of an interior door and it worked out o.k. This was my choice due to price, it's not the greatest quality but it is alright as long as you don't look at it too hard. Kinda flimsy. The wood grain is actually a paper laminate over particle board, so not it's not that durable of a finish and as such is pretty easy to scratch the wood grain off.
great price nice paneling
great paneling for the price....nice color....thin, but all paneling today is thin
Perfect Find
We have been remodeling our basement to be 70s themed. Just as everyone is taking paneling out of their house we were searching for the paneling most like the kind in houses 40 years ago. This was perfect.
Awesome paneling, just what I was looking for
I am building my man cave and I wanted to recreate a 70s looking atmosphere. This panel is almost exactly like the kind in my grandma's basement. It looks really good and goes onto the wall easily. I am amazed at how inexpensive it is.
Junk
Had paneling stored in the house for two days put up 8 sheets one day. Next day the weather got cooler and it bubbles up and warped so badly I’m in the process of tearing it down throwing it on a fire.
Not Bad For Budget Friendly Paneling
Bought 4 pieces to fix wall in Manufactured Home bedroom - the color is nice not too dark - however, we painted it white making it look like Shiplap / Wainscotting. I would buy again if needed.
Warps and twists
I was very disappointed that wall paneling would twist and warp on the wall which is the designated purpose. Installed one evening in a 2nd home. Came back the next day and all of the panels were ruined. Applied just as advised but it was not salvageable. Had to tear down and start over. Wasted more than $200. Very disappointing.
