What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews. Many found it easy to assemble and effective for aerating and spreading on smaller lawns. However, a significant number reported issues with quality and durability, including flimsy or easily bent parts, wheels falling off, and problems with the chain and sprocket mechanism. Several said the product broke down quickly and was ultimately unusable. The consensus seems to be that this is a budget-friendly option that may work adequately for light-duty use, but is not a high-quality, long-lasting tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a couple of issues... The Scotts Weed n Feed I'm using is supposed to be more effective when applied to damp grass. As a result, the bottom of the spreader becomes wet and plugs up very quickly. (It is not because the grass is too long). With a full hopper, it is very difficult to unplug. After about 200 ft, it happens all over again. On dry grass the problem disappears. Also, the aerator spikes tend to get bent up, probably from sharp turn...

Perfect to The Average Joe aka Best New Lawn ‘18
This is an awesome must have for the average person with a medium duty workload or good quality personal yard preference. I really don't understand the bad reviews. I only had this tool for 15 months but that's 5 seasons! 5 seasons of central Kansas/Missouri state line 5 extreme seasons! I originally purchased this for a customer. Intentions were use one time at a job site and the customer keeps it but I ended up with it as a bonus, aka self-serving justifier "payment" for all the extra free...
Excellent Piece of Equipment!!!
This piece of equipment will do wonders for your lawn if used correctly, (i.e. use when soil is moist and not dry and hard, use common sense and do not put things in hopper that it is not designed for, read and follow instructions, etc.). The aerator/spreader results in a higher seed germination rate due to the slits the blades cut into the soil. This is evidenced by going from my usual 300lbs. of seed used in a broadcast spreader to using only 150 - 200 in the Brinly aerator/spreader and seei...

Lawn Spreader
I bought this spreader to overseed areas of the yard. I was hoping the aeration tines would do a better job . Probably need to dethach prior to overseeding. There is a possible issue with manufacturing. The holes which mount the tires are to high or the tube they mount to are to long. Bar end will drag the ground due to lack of clearance. Can be cut off to allow more clearance but shouldn't have to if manufactured correctly. Possible wrong sized tires? Unit was easily assembled and all parts wer...

Brinly 40" aerator spreader
Bought this on Sunday 5/22/16 assembled on 5/25/16. Finally a set of instructions that are precise and illustrations that can be plainly seen and understood. The packaging of the nuts, bolts and washers is genius they are packaged in order of use plainly marked according to the illustrations. Assembled in no time. It is heavier duty than the previous aerator spreader it is replacing and though I did have to add some weight to get maximum depth of the spikes understandable because I have red clay...
Pretty well built
This is a pretty solid little tool. I've only had it for a week and used it for one day. Like anything else, it takes a little bit of getting used to it. The one that I do like is the design and operation of the spreader flow control. It has a notch that's supposed to hold it in the closed position and it does not. The weight of the lever causes it to stay below the notch so if you hit a bump it will open up and allow the fertilizer or seed to spill. It also doesn't stay in the position you inte...

Exceptional value @ a fair price
I Ordered this product several weeks ago and upon its arrival, put it together in under an hour. The directions are clear and concise, each component of the implement is sorted in it’s individual package corresponding with that portion of the directions. DURABLE- put it through its paces shortly thereafter, performed wonderfully, my yard resembles the golf course behind our home. If you need this, your foolish not to purchase and use it. Try it, you’ll love it!

Great spreader/aerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in the spring for weed and feed. Assembly was easy and it worked great!! I’ve now used it for weed and feed and sowing some grass and wild flower seeds and the easy to adjust lever makes getting the right rate easy. I’m pulling it with the electric Cub Cadet LT42E and it pulled great!!

Cheap Plastic Spacers
Its a shame that cheap plastic spacers are used between the thines. I made 3 passes and the plastic was chewed up. The handle that is supposed to keep the wheels up drops repeatedly, I took the handle off and wired the wheels up so it could be used with out the wheels dropping. This could have been a great piece of machinery cheap plastic parts and poor design for the wheels leave a lot to be desired. Should go back to the drawing board for this one

Great product easy to assemble
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Brinly some time ago and have not used it yet but now that fall is here I will be creating soon. We need some rain first. Just the fact that my Brinly was made in the good old USA makes it a superior product.
