Flimsy MDF

This MDF breaks very easily. Even being careful with it, I had issues with one of the 8 ft pieces cracking. When sanding to smooth out joints between pieces I found that they don't sand very well once you sand through the primer. But, once you work through those issues, the finished products looks fine.

Its made out of pressed wood fibers

It looks good but this is not real wood trim, its seems to be made out of some kind of pressed wood fibers. I would have rather had real solid wood because I had to pull some back off where it was nailed and it broke in half instead of remaining in one piece like real wood. It tends to chip at the edge when sawed.

Wrong Item being sold as this brand

Cookeville, TN Lowes is selling some garbage brand mfd courner trim pieces as this premium brand. The ones at my store are extremely brittle. Please investigate this store.

Absolute disaster

Material is non sustainable, a little pressure and falls apart..paint, peels initiates the rest just crumbles. Suitable only for a light diy decoration

Light weight and easy to work with.

Pre painted was great. I only needed 1 coat of paint.

Cheap

It looks good from a distance. If you’re using it for something above the floor then maybe it’ll hold up, but MDF is cheap and soft and not a good fit for baseboard molding. If you ever wash your floor it will soak up everything and swell. Using it elsewhere could work

affordable and avoids problems of real wood

As part of an interior tiling project, we needed moldings to provide transition from the tile to the wall material. We went with this product, a cove molding made of MDF (compressed wood fibers) because it was silky smooth-surfaced, easily painted, and did not splinter when cut, didn't split when nailed, and had no warps or twists to overcome. It was great and easy to install. So nice they cut it for me so it was easy for a non carpenter

White (painted) Composite Wall Panel Moulding

I used this in my bathroom where old vinyl wallpaper was coming up at the seams, even in the corners. So I used this corner moulding to fix the wallpaper issue and it worked great!
