The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances. The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar.
WHOLE HOUSE PROTECTION: Serves as the first line of defense for your home's plumbing system; the 50-micron food-grade stainless steel mesh effectively intercepts sediment, rust, dirt, sand, and large particles before they reach your appliances; ideal for protecting washing machines, water heaters, and finer water filtration systems.
FLUSHABLE & REUSABLE: Unlike traditional sediment filters that require frequent replacements, the WSP-50 is designed for longevity; the spin-down design allows for easy cleaning; simply open the purge valve to flush out trapped impurities; regular flushing maintains performance and significantly extends the lifespan of downstream filters, saving you money on maintenance.
SAFE & RELIABLE MATERIAL: Built to last with a solid, lead-free brass machine head and a durable stainless steel filter screem; the high-quality construction withstands water pressure ranges of 20–100 psi and temperatures from 40–100°F; the transparent housing provides clear visual monitoring, so you know exactly when it’s time to flush.
EASY INSTALLATION & COMPATIBILITY: Features versatile double-threaded connectors: 1-inch MNPT and 3/4-inch FNPT on both ends to fit various plumbing setups; includes a garden hose barb fitting for the flush-out valve, (Note: For strictly indoor use only, avoid direct sunlight to prevent algae growth).
50 MICRON RATING: This model removes particles down to 50 microns; it is ideal for municipal water or well water with larger sediment; NOTE: If your water source contains high levels of fine sediment or silt, the screen may clog quickly; in such cases, please contact us for advice on different micron sizes (eg, 100, 200, 500, or 1000 microns) to best suit your water quality.
