How to Make a Spooky Hooded Figure for Halloween

Insert the body and neck PVC pieces to the cross fitting.

Then use the PVC pipe to create the right arm. First, use the PVC pipe that was cut for the shoulder. Add a 90-degree elbow pipe fitting to attach it to the upper arm. Attach a 90-degree elbow pipe fitting and then fit it to the lower arm.

Repeat the process for the left arm. Add a 45-degree elbow pipe fitting at the end to hold the lantern.

Spray paint the Styrofoam head black.

Insert the bricks into the bucket and fill the bucket with sand. Next, place the 5-foot pipe into the bucket.

Lay the chicken wire on a flat surface. Hold down the chicken wire with brick pavers and cut a section for the body. Form a circle and then twist the ends of the wire together to keep it in place. Next, place the cylinder body over the PVC body and the bucket.

Next, cut and mold pieces for the arms and the hood.

Cut a hole into the left side of the chicken wire body. Slide the left arm made of chicken wire over the PVC arm and secure it to the body. Repeat this process on the right side.

Cut a hole into a sheet of black landscape fabric. Then place the fabric over the neck and drape the body and arms in black landscape fabric.

Attach the head to the PVC pipe neck. Then place the chicken wire hood on top. 

Drape the head with the black landscape fabric. We opted to add a scary mask, but you can leave the black Styrofoam head if you prefer.

Place a LED pillar candle into the lantern. Use the plant hook to hang the lantern from the PVC pipe hand. Cover the pipe with the black landscape fabric.
