How to Create a Mason Jar Organizer

Once the board is dry, you'll need to measure. Using a tape measure, determine the spacing between each jar. Mark with a pencil where the rim of each jar will be.

Use a drill to make a pilot hole for each clamp.

Flip the board over and measure where the picture hangers will be placed. Measure the distance from the top of the board to the hanger on each side to determine they're at the same height. This will ensure the mason jar shelf is level. Then hammer in the picture hangers to the back of the board.

Place a scrap piece of wood underneath the mounting board. Ask a friend to help you flatten the clamp against the mounting board. This will make drilling easier.

Using a drill bit that can go through metal, drill a hole in the clamp. Make sure the hole isn't too large -- just big enough for the screw to go through it. Put a screw through the clamp, add a spacer and secure it to the wood base. Repeat the process for each clamp.

Adjust the clamp to fit the mason jar rim. Then screw the clamp back into place until it's secure, but not too tight. Finish by tightening the screw with your fingers and then use the screwdriver for the last quarter of a turn. Don't overtighten or you could crack the jar.

Mounting your finished product is simple. Using a drill, add one anchor and a screw for each side. They should be level with one another. Hang your mason jar organizer and then add your essentials to it.
