How to Install a Toilet Paper Holder

Use a pencil to mark where the brackets will be located.

For Drywall With a Wood Wall Stud:
If you're drilling into solid wood or a stud, anchors won't be needed. Use an electronic stud finder to locate the stud before drilling. Then use a drill to make 1/16-inch holes.

For Drywall Without a Wood Wall Stud:
If you're drilling directly into drywall or ceramic tile, anchors will be needed.

For drywall, keep the drill level and drill 3/16-inch holes. Use a hammer to insert your anchors into the hole and ensure they're flush against the wall.

If you're drilling into tile, place a piece of tape over the tile to prevent it from breaking. Use a carbide drill bit and follow the same directions for drywall.

Using the pre-drilled holes, attach brackets to the wall with the fasteners that have been provided.

Use a level to ensure the brackets are even. Check that the brackets are facing outward and they're tightly secure against the wall.

Position the toilet paper holder over the mounting brackets and slide downward to attach to the clips.
