Use firm and consistent strokes while using the manual pole saw. Apply downward pressure with the tool to make cutting branches easier. Use a back-and-forth motion to make the cut in the branches.

Once you're done cutting, place the saw on the ground carefully. Clean the blade with a damp cloth to remove debris or tree sap. Then, store it in a safe and dry position to prevent wear and tear from harsh weather.
