A bar cart is a great place to show off your favorite wine glasses and libations. But now it's time to rethink the possibilities. We'll show you three festive ways to decorate your bar cart for brunches, birthday parties, the holidays and more.

A bar cart with fruit and juices, a bar cart filled with jars of candy and a hot chocolate bar.

A Mocktail or Cocktail Cart

A brass and wood bar cart with juices, garland, glasses and ramekins filled with fresh fruit.

If you're hosting a brunch, bridal or baby shower, a mocktail or cocktail cart is a must. For our bar cart, we decided to go with a Festive Citrus theme.

First, let's start with the garland. String bunches of live seeded eucalyptus with fishing line and intersperse slices of orange throughout. On the top shelf, transfer cartons of peach juice, strawberry lemonade and orange juice to glass bottles. Then line an orange melamine tray with ramekins of fresh fruit as a garnish.

If you'd like to turn your mocktail to a cocktail, add an ice bucket filled with champagne or prosecco on the bottom shelf. For a fun twist, fill small balloons with water and drop a single bloom inside. Then put them in the freezer. A few hours later, cut away the balloon and you'll have beautiful floral ice balls to decorate the top of the ice bucket.

Candy Cart

A gold bar cart that includes glass canisters filled with colorful candy.

Calling all sweet tooths! This wood and brass bar cart is transformed into a candy cart that'll be the center of attention at any soiree or birthday party.

Use glass or plastic storage containers and canisters of various shapes and sizes. Then fill them a variety of lollipops, marshmallows, hard and soft candies. Ring pops adorn the front legs of the cart, while a colorful balloon arch creates a festive atmosphere.

Other candy cart themes include:

  • Easter: pastel-colored candy, chocolate bunnies, artificial grass and dyed eggs
  • Halloween: fall-colored candies, candy corn, pumpkin cupcakes and spider web garland
  • Christmas: red and green candy, candy canes, garland with lights and a mini tree

Holiday Cart

A wreath and a bar cart filled with hot chocolate, white mugs, peppermints and cinnamon sticks.

As your guests come in from the December cold, a toasty hot chocolate will hit the spot. This bar cart is decorated with lighted Christmas garland, bottle brush trees and artificial snow.

Add your favorite toppings such as marshmallows, cinnamon sticks, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and peppermints.
