Tile Floor Installation

Your subfloor will need to be smooth, flat and stable for a tile floor. Concrete is a great subfloor for tile. If you have a wood subfloor, the installers will likely recommend backer board to ensure your subfloor is stable enough to prevent the tile from cracking. Our independent installers will assist you with selecting the correct underlayment to complete your project.

There will be a slight gap between the wall and floor when a tile floor is installed. We recommend quarter-round or shoe moulding to cover the gap and give your flooring a great finish. Our independent installers will assist you with selecting the correct trim to complete your project.

We can move furniture for an additional charge. A per-room charge for basic furniture will apply. The fee will be higher if the furniture is complex/oversized and complicates the project or makes a meaningful time impact. This includes, but isn’t limited to, furniture that:

• Requires specialized tools for disassembly
• Requires three or more people to lift/move it
• Has a size/shape that prevents disassembly

If additional charges apply for moving or breaking down furniture, the independent contractor will advise you at the time of measurement, and the additional charges will be included in the quote from Lowe’s.

Excluded items:

• Pianos, aquariums, waterbeds, antiques, pool tables, holiday decorations, freestanding gas heating units, large exercise equipment, safes, etc.
• Electronics (computers, stereos, home theaters, TVs, medical equipment, alarm systems, etc.)
