When you accept your quote and choose Lowe’s for flooring installation, you’ll get:

• Flooring of Your Choice: Choose the style and material that fit your space. Flooring must be purchased from Lowe’s.
• Underlayment or Carpet Padding: We’ll install it when needed for comfort and performance.
• Professional Installation: There’s no additional mileage fee for installation at a site within 20 miles of your Lowe’s store (one way). A mileage fee applies for locations beyond 20 miles.
• Safety Checks: We’ll conduct a lead assessment, if required.
• Surface Prep: We’ll do light scraping and sweeping to create a smooth base (up to 1/4-inch adjustment).
• Thorough Cleanup: We’ll remove debris and vacuum/sweep. Dump fees may apply.
• Final Walk-Through: We’ll review the finished work with you to make sure you’re satisfied. We’ll also review product care and warranty details.

A professional in-home flooring measurement is necessary to:

• Ensure accurate dimensions of the area receiving new flooring
• Assess your existing floor for unevenness, moisture or any other damage that may require special attention during installation
• Capture photos the installer will use to prepare for the installation
• Create an accurate quote, with all materials, installation and any additional charges included

Yes. Lowe’s offers a variety of Special Financing options, including 12 months Special Financing for installed flooring and on purchases of $299 or more when you use your MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card.*

Lowe’s offers items that are delivered in a timely manner. Work with your local store to determine availability and installation options. We also offer rapid installation of select flooring in some markets. In applicable locations, we can install the flooring in as little as 10 to 14 days after measurement and payment.

We can move furniture for an additional charge. A per-room charge for basic furniture will apply. The fee will be higher if the furniture is complex/oversized and complicates the project or makes a meaningful time impact. This includes, but isn’t limited to, furniture that: 

• Requires specialized tools for disassembly 
• Requires three or more people to lift/move it 
• Has a size/shape that prevents disassembly 

If additional charges apply for moving or breaking down furniture, the independent contractor will advise you at the time of measurement, and the additional charges will be included in the quote from Lowe’s. 

 Excluded items: 

• Pianos, aquariums, waterbeds, antiques, pool tables, holiday decorations, freestanding gas heating units, large exercise equipment, safes, etc. 
• Electronics (computers, stereos, home theaters, TVs, medical equipment, alarm systems, etc.)

Yes. We won’t install new carpet over old pads. Old pads may be worn, stained or have water damage, which would harm the new carpet. We offer a variety of options to best suit your new carpet selection.

All of our carpet is designed for the way you live and is stain- and soil- resistant, quick and easy to clean, and durable for proven performance. Nylon is a durable, low-maintenance fiber, making it a good choice for homes with children and/or pets. Contact your local store for assistance with selecting your new carpet.

When your five- to 10-year-old carpet starts to unravel at the seams or shed or if you’ve had water damage, it’s time to consider replacing your carpet. Water-damaged carpet can start to grow mold and mildew, causing an odor. However, it’s typical for your new carpet to shed after a new installation.

Your flooring must be purchased as part of an installation package for us to install it. Your flooring will be part of your total installation cost, after your free in-home measurement.

You’ll receive a quote including installation and materials based on your square footage. However, you can select and browse our samples online. The faster you provide your product choice, the faster we’ll be able to offer a quote.
