Have installed many Kohler and American Standard toilets. Purchased two Elliston products from Lowes for style and comfort height. After reading a LOT of reviews, I chose the Elliston. I know a few people posted that the filler pipe was situated too close to the tank. Maybe Kohlers has made an adjustment because mine had all kinds of room. I like the metal handle, 1 flush does the job, it's quiet and seems to work efficiently. Defective Design

Bought this toilet this morning and, after installing it and hooking it up to my home water system, discovered that the built in filler valve is installed too close to the toilet wall, causing the piece of the valve that needs to float up (to seal the valve) to instead get stuck on the tank wall. This makes the toilet inoperable - if you leave it stuck in the "down" position, it never stops filling; if you leave it stuck in the "up" position it never fills at all. Wasted my Saturday on this one

Looks great! Installed quickly! 30 minutes after removing the old toilet I was pleased. Then I turned on the water. I found a leak in the worst place to find a toilet leak - from underneath the base, and I had not even flushed it yet. Quality control problem: this toilet came with the plastic bag containing small parts AND the paper instruction sheet pinched between the bottom inside of the tank and the base of the flush cylinder. We carefully removed both with a sharp blade (not wanting to disturb the mount) and installed the tank. Immediately leaked. Just installed the Elliston in my master bath, love the elongated bowl and additional seat height, it looks very attractive (as far as toilets go) and the flush is excellent!
