I wanted something that was modern, but had a warm, comfy feel to it for my living room. Have outdoor patio in back yard with west exposure. Being in Texas it gets pretty hot in summer time. Previous home owner put in three Ellington Fans and all three had bad capacitors and wraped fan blades and fans only 6 years old. This can was so easy to install. Had plenty of room to fit your hands around the wires and the fan could hang by itself while connecting the wires. So this Fan is great but one quick negative/informational is that the box shows a long extension for tall ceilings up to 15’ tall but this fan does not include the extensions and you would have to buy them separate if you want to extend it. The weight of this model is on the heavier side and there are no plastic pieces so that is a big plus! Returned to Store Shortly After Its Delivery
This fan was only available online and we chose home delivery. When it arrived, we opened the box and did a parts inventory in preparation to do assembly. It did not take long to find that the light kit portion, integral to the fan, was both damaged and incomplete. The metal cage was warped and the protective glass cage for the light bulbs was no where to be found. There were three small slivers of glass in the package. Although I have a separate light switch in my bedroom for a light, having a remote control made this fan an even better addition to our bedroom. The included LED lights provide great low light coverage in our bedroom for watching TV. The 3-speed fan (without a pull chain) allows you to go directly from low to high or off. This fan is a real beauty. We installed it in our new Florida room. It adds a very nice stylish touch to the room.
