I purchased this shade (L) without measuring in the store. Got home and the 12", which I call the height is not 12", more like 10". I really like the shade: shape, color, fabric and materials. I made it work for my lamp by changing the height of the harp on my lamp. Works! Also purchased the matching Medium size shade for a pole lamp. Neutral Shades

It's a color that goes with most anything so I like that. I wish there were a little more decoration on it like a fringe or swirl pattern to give it a little more interest but they cover the bulb and allow plenty of light to get through.

These are a perfect shape and size for my lamp bases. Decent quality for the price. Casts a nice warm glow into the room. I ordered two. Delivery was prompt and they were packaged well. I deducted a star because one has some fingerprint soil on the inside but not enough to go through the exchange process.

I had been looking for a shade this long and just couldn't find one specially this quality and at this price, I just wish it was in a different color but like they sometimes simple is nice, course been a little eccentric I wish they would of been red marroon black or deep green but white is simple and elegant so I'm happy.
