18 inches to finial, perfect stained glass lamp
I love this lamp. I bought 2, for small stained glass shades that were hanging lamps in a previous residence. It looks appropriate with the stained glass. It is bigger than I expected. 13.25 inches to the top of the socket, but 18 inches to the top of the harp.

I very much like this lamp as it gives an older style of lamp which I like and, the lampshade is also a good match with the base. Another option that I like is that you can use more then one type or style of because of the extra frame that allows for a taller type of lampshade. My plants LOVE it
I bought it for use as a plant light in with poinsettias, kumquat, scented geraniums, and spider plants. I already had an overhead plant bulb in there, but they seemed to need more. This was the perfect size for the shelf in there with my 'little' plants. Everyone has been perking up with the added plant light so well. The kumquat has grown more than 6 inches since I added this light.

Multipurpose Lamp
Bought this lamp for our guest bedroom. Good size, looks impressive. We own another one that we bought for our den- so this lamp is good in any room. The downside was that it did not come with a metal ring to anchor the shade with, when you screw the finnial on. I had to use a fender washer in it's place. Also,the clips that hold the supports for the finnial,had to be adjusted with pliers- I did not have to do any of this with the first lamp.

Found this lamp to be just the right accent piece. Matched furniture and the rest of the room as well. Neutral shade works well and make sure the shade attaches by the top and not by ring base. Size of shade determines what wattage as well as OEM limits of lamp.

Just what I wanted
