Failed Control Board

Don buy! 1 year, 4 months after purchase, the drain pump would not stop running. It would run all the time, even when not doing a load. At first, I would have to unplug and let sit for an hour to reset. it as time went on, the only way the pump would not run would be to unplug it. This was the worst appliance I have ever purchased

I purchased one of these from Lowes in 2023, started having issues with drain pump running after the load was washed in early 2025, requiring me to unplug washing machine to stop it. Sometimes it would start running the drain pump after being plugged back in before I could even load it much less run a wash. I suffered like this until last week when it died completely. Checking online I found hundreds of people experiencing the same issue. I spent $200 and replaced the control board this weekend....

Worst machine ever owned

I got this machine a little over a year and a half ago,. I have hated it ever since...more than any washer I ever had. I wanted the removable agitator but it's not worth it. Takes over an hour to go through a cycle on just about any cycle I choose, then when I choose the short cycle, it still takes well over an hour because it goes through the cycle two and sometimes 3 times. Broken On Arrival

Purchased on 03/27/26 from Lowe's Newnan, Ga facility, delivered on 03/28/26. quality control by ai?

Wow. I've had this washer less than a month and there is a flaw in the tub. There is a spot in the bottom that has no enamel. No one can accept a washer with a rust spot in the bottom of the tub. I was very frustrated trying to get in touch with Whirlpool; tried the chat with a bot and the bot on the phone. I finally talked with a person at Whirlpool (30 min hold) and she scheduled my appointment. Service number: 844-667-7221. I have no idea how this will be resolved.

Same issue as others…

We bought this washer in July of 2024. It has worked fine up until this February. Now the pump runs continuously and you have to unplug it. I really hope The WhirlpoolTeam doesn’t respond to this like they did the other reviews. They know they are selling a garbage unit that will malfunction after a year. It’s been in production for too long for them NOT to know. Last whirlpool product for us!

Terrible quality, failed in 18 months

This washing machine is pure garbage and Whirlpool knows it. There is an issue with a control board failing that causes the machine to constantly run the drain pump. Whirlpool, like many others, have stopped manufacturing quality products. They intentionally build cheap garbage like this and just expect you to replace it every few years. They don't care about customers AT ALL, just the big shareholders.

Not worth the money

After only a couple of months it sounded like an airplane was landing during spin cycle. After some back and forth it was repaired under warranty. Now, 2 yrs later, the drain won't stop running. Many hard resets later the drain pump is now leaking and flooding my laundry room. To replace the drain pump & control panel will cost almost what I spent on the washer. Lowe’s really cares about the customers needs.

I had a great buying experience at Lowes in Lima Ohio and I was treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. All of my questions were answered. I don’t felt confident about my purchase. I really enjoy shopping Lowe’s and iin fact the joke in my family. Is that a week doesn’t go by that I can’t go to my local Lowe’s store. I really enjoy my new whirlpool washer!
