Needed a generator to power my RV ac and for a mini split in cabin. After first night of use I couldn’t be any happier with the my purchase. Is very quiet for a generator to the point I keep forgetting it’s even there which is great since I wasn’t wanting to bother neighbors overnight.. Was on the fence on this one or the 4000. Go ahead and spend the extra money and get 3x the gas tank and extra power.

Great Customer Service
I would recommend Westinghouse Generators I have used them for years. This one I had a problem with but Westinghouse customer service and Chris at Lowe’s in Latrobe took care of the problem with outstanding customer service.I have the Westinghouse 2500 and 8200 and they work great. Because of that I going to have new 5000 delivered tomorrow.
Broke down in 1 day
Went for camping, this piece of junk just lasted 5 hours and turned off. Didnt want to start again. Lowes didnt want to refund and westinghouse didnt want to reapond either. Dont buy this generator.

Used for first time
We bought this generator as a backup for use dry camping but also as a home backup. With the recent ice storm that has crippled much of the mid south, it came in handy. Pulled it out of the box, added oil (yes oil fill outlet could stand to extend out further but with a long funnel is manageable), and started it up. After 4-5 years
Excellent generator, bought during Covid time frame, use this for a remote weekend cabin on and off, in the summer I use for 2 ac’s and a cpap , machine and basic stuff . Sometime it stays in for 24-48 hrs even 72 hrs. Switched to synthetic oil early on.and change oil regularly between 60-80 hrs or when dirty which in the summer is 1x a month .
