worked great....until it didn't

bought this generator to run my camper, when we got it we assembled it, added the oil, gave it a little gas(i only run non-ethanol) it ran great. never got to actually use it until late September, worked great for my camper on a 9 day camping trip, brought it home...used it 2 or 3 times to charge batteries on my antique tractors that are out of extension cord range. stored it for the winter, went to prep for a camping trip and it will not stay running once power is demanded....shuts right off......

It's a lot of "bang for the buck".

I must've watched about 100 reviews on various generators and this one got my attention. Withe Lowe's Veteran discount, I ended up getting for a great price ($449). Third use. Wont start.

I have used this unit three times. 1 - Break in. 2 & 3 - camping trips. I estimate it has 20-30 hours on it. Yesterday while camping the unit ran out of fuel while I was sleeping. Woke up and refueled as I have in the past. Will not start now. Unit ran perfectly and supplied power as needed prior to this. Louder than advertised

I chose the Westinghouse WH3700iXLTc generator after comparing spec sheets from four popular brands. During my research I learned the "standard" in measuring sound sound level is similar to, at idle from 22-25'. So I understood it would be louder than the 58dBA advertised but I was disappointed at the actual readings. Which prompted me to download a second Decibel measurement app for comparison. Defective straight out of the box

Unpackaged this Westinghouse 3700W inverter generator and went through initial startup directions, filled with oil and gas, turned fuel switch to choke, and it immediately began to leak gasoline. Found the inline fuel filter between the fuel switch and carburetor was broken. Removed and replaced. Fuel leak fixed, started generator on choke, but it would stall at mid-choke. Repeated attempts, could not get to run mode on fuel switch without stalling. The User Manual is not helpful. I cannot find ...

Little Work Horse

This little 3700 powers why sump pump with ease when we lost power but it's main use is to power my espresso van! She runs everything from start up without pause allowing me to run Kei.Cup smoothly. It's quite enough to not disturb my customers over much. If I had followed the calculators I'd have a larger generator. I'm happy I took a chance on this little guy. In fact, I think it's still larger then I needed!

Good start

I'm looking forward to using this generator to power my travel trailer components. In comparison to other similar products on the market, this one is one of the most affordable. The lighted LED control panel was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting. Prepping for the initial run with the easy-to-follow instructions. The screw in oil funnel makes filling less of a mess. Bought this as an auxiliary generator for small home. Adequately quiet for use outside a home, but might be too much for camping. The sound is louder than hoped, but is soft and not annoying. Should have plenty of power for a few basic circuits (some lights, TV, computer, fridge, microwave). They WILL NEVER call you back for repairs!

Westinghouse service department has so many problems they hired a third-party support company to take your calls. GOOD LUCK having someone from Westinghouse ever calling you back. I have been waiting over a month and have called them three times without a call back. Don't believe me, call their service department and ask if you are speaking with them or the call center.
