Cheap quality for the price

(Disclosure, I have a Summit 600 Series so maybe I'm a bit biased because of their initial cost.) I was excited to finally see a Weber OEM mat as there have been many others out for quite some time. When it arrived it was rolled up in a tube which was the first concern, because expecting it to be thicker/sturdier. It melts

This was a birthday gift. Our son-in-law LOVES Weber stuff after he learned about Weber charcoal grilling, so he knew I'd like this accessory. Well the first time I used it I set my hot starter chimney on it and it melted right through the mat...one big cut out circle. What good is a mat that can't handle the heat? I have had a mat for years that was looking shabby, but that thing NEVER reacted to my hot chimney. Pretty disappointing from Weber.

Not the Quality I Want

Just bought this and was disappointed, no difference from what you get at every store for a generic grill mat. Hope Weber comes out with a big heavy one similar to what the pellet smoker company has, the orange mat to be specific. I’m will to pay the price for the quality, we wouldn’t be looking at Weber if we weren’t looking for quality. Ordered online and returned without ever using after seeing and touching it.

Hoping it goes flat soon

Its been a few weeks, still rolling up. Very nice quality however.

Good Mat

I am using this mat under a genesis S-435. Unrolls nicely and easy to layout. My only issue and it may be because my BBQ is longer; is that if you hang your tools the mat doesn’t cover the floor in that area. I may need to buy a second one (which is a bit annoying) to avoid grease getting on the floor. Wish they had larger sizes.

Floor Protection Mat

I like the material and the look of the Floor Protection Mat. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because it’s smaller than anticipated. It barely covers the area underneath my EX-6 and 4-burner Genesis. When I hang grilling tools from the hooks, sauce drips on my patio because it’s not covered by the mat. Perhaps various sizes would remedy this issue.

Makes My New Grill Stand Out

I purchased this mat even after reading a few somewhat negative reviews. I found the mat to be sturdy and quick to assume it flat condition. I have gotten complement from several guests who found my new grill installation especially attractive with the mat in place.
