What Customers Are Saying
This paint sprayer has received mixed reviews. Many users found it to be a compact and effective tool for certain painting projects, such as priming and house painting. However, several customers reported issues with excessive overspray, clogging, and difficulty controlling the spray pattern. Some also noted that the sprayer worked well initially but then started malfunctioning after a short period of use. While the sprayer may be suitable for simple, short-term painting tasks, it has significant limitations that make it less ideal for more demanding or long-term use.

waste of lots of money, time and energy - so excited to get my hands on a paint sprayer and didn't go cheap. Nevermind. The instructions are nearly useless. The hose is stiff and difficult to manage. Trying to manage the hose, the coupling comes loose at the machine and paint goes everywhere (I did tighten it down with two wrenches, as the instructions demanded). There seems to be no way to manage the pressure, so the over spray is awful. Every single centimeter I didn't cover has a fine m...

Not easy to clean, skill needed, spray tips-$$
IIt's a real bugger to clean. The paint tank has a nice looking shape, but every extra curve in the tank means an extra place you have to scrub out by hand. You go through a lot of paint thinner to clean it, which adds to the cost of the job. The paint tank lid doesn't stay on very well, and it's awkward to use. It's important because you don't want anything getting into the paint. In the top of the lid there are two indents for storing paint nozzle tips. They don't hold the tips in. Any ...
Thanks for your review.

Not part of a promotion. Retiree with no prior experience using an airless sprayer. This model was chosen because I wasn't sure how well the gravity feed would work and I didn't want to be limited by the capacity of the 130. Make sure to snug down the gun onto the hose. Hand tight is NOT sufficient, I assure you. Over-spray is much less than expected, but still, if you don't want it painted, mask it, cover it or move it out of the way. Follow recommended distance and spray pat...
Great review and advice, thank you.

Junk
I bought this unit today at Lowe's. The package says that it will spray primer and paints without any thinner required. I sprayed about 5 ft with kills two primer and the whole thing clogged up. Had to clean the entire unit to get it to spray another four or five foot and it clogged up again. Completely clean the unit again and then sprayed from Sherman Williams interior latex paint. Just like with the kills too it sprayed about 5 ft and then it clogged up again. My package it all up return it t...

Thanks for your review. All of our Control Pro models should be spraying from 12" away, this will eliminate most of that overspray. It will also ...

Second time use it Stop working
Second time I used it stopped working it comes on, but there’s no pressure I went to YouTube did what they say by cleaning, but still not working I got it for my birthday. I don’t have any receipt for it so I don’t know what to do. Should I throw it away or keep it because I look it up online is like $229 and that’s hard to throw away. Specially when is my birthday present from my daughter? I asked her if she still have the receipt for it, and she said no I don’t know if I should call Wagner and...

worked great until it didnt
purchased this unit and it was working great at staining my privacy fence. took about and hour to do the first 350 ft, went flawless. then it started having issues building pressure. took me over 2 hours to finish the last 200 ft. it would lose pressure and might take a minute or two for the pump to catch and build pressure again. this happened over and over again. I noticed that even when you hade the flow direction switch set to spray that there was also flow going back through the recirculat...

Worked great for first time user
I had never used a paint sprayer before, but had a large space and not a lot of time, so i decided to give it a try. I was pleased with how easy it was to use and how fast it worked. Cleanup takes some time! I spent at least thirty minutes both of the two times I used it, but its important to get all the paint out of the nozzles and lines if you plan on using it again. I do recommend refilling before you run out of paint in the tank because if it gets air you have to prime it and it takes a few ...

Thank you for a great review ! We're glad the Control Pro 130 works great.

Works ok, but be prepared for these three issues
If you have never used one of these before, get ready for three things that no one talks about on youtube videos (I am using mine indoors to repaint a bedroom): 1. The unit is LOUD. There is no listening to music while you're working. 2. The overspray goes EVERYWHERE. It creates a fog of paint-dust that settles everywhere in the room, no matter how far away. Cover up and use masking tape in every nook and cranny of the floor, furniture, and anything else you don't want to clean paint-dust off...

Use a strainer!!!!
I returned the 1st one of these bc a piece of the motor broke off, i think bc it kept getting clogged and i kept trying to clean it then spray while there was nothing going through causing it to over heat and put to much strain on the motor. So I exchanged it and bought a 2 pack of 5 gallon mesh strainers. The strainer fit over the paint sprayer (obviously w/o the lid on) then poured the paint right over the strainer into the machine and put the lid back on. This was a game changer! I kept a bu...
