Valspar Signature Bundle

Valspar paint with primer a little disappointing

We are on the 3rd gallon of Valspar paint with primer on a room just over 400 square feet. I am disappointed that we are having to layer on so much. Had we known that the primer would make little difference we would have put on just primer and saved some money. We then would have only needed 1 gallon of the more expensive paint.

ok, but not great

does not cover light colors in one coat. Ended up having use a separate bonder/primer then two coats. without a primer it took four coats.

Great coverage

I put 2 coats of this paint on my wall. Looked good with just one coat.

3 coat paint

This is undeniable the worst paint I've ever used. It was the consistency of thin pudding. I was painting over a light gray. It was a block wall in a school built in the mid 40s, so it had been painted many times. I switched from a 1/2 inch to a 3/4 nap roller because the paint wasn't filling the voids in the block. Best Paint ever

I have been using this Paint to paint my entire house for the last several years. After 30 moves all over the country. I have used Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Behr ………this paints is the best. It goes on smooth, it dries quick, but not too fast it is affordable.

Great product!

It had been a while since I bought a gallon of paint. Paint has gotten a bit pricey, but one coat coverage is well worth it. Love the result and the color looks better than I had anticipated. It went on easily and the finish is perfect. I will definitely buy this particular base again.

Ok paint

Ok paint. Had tan walls and it took 3 coats to cover. Painted 5 closets and used 4 gallons. My next paint job i will buy better paint.

Thick and Difficult to Apply

The paint was extremely thick and clumpy. Not sure if this was old stock or I just got a bad can. Custom color was mixed and the mixing process should have delivered a smoother product direct from the can. Ended up not covering very well over primed walls and required multiple touch ups.

Easily covers

I had a can of ultra white paint that I found in the clearance section a while ago that I never used from a different brand. While working on some projects, I decided it was a perfect time to test the Valspar and the random paint that I bought. At the start, I immediately noticed the difference in quality. The Valspar paint easily covered the old paint compared to the off name paint I bought. Having to go over the random paint again caused extra pointless work. I'm not going to make that mistake...

Applies well and looks great!

I've used the Valspar Signature paint for every room in my house that I've painted since moving in a year and a half ago. The eggshell finish has a nice light sheen and so far all 4 colors I've used, with the exception of a light pink, had great coverage. The paint applies easily and smooths out well. I haven't experienced it running/dripping down the walls either. It is easy to clean after it dries.
