First off OC who waited on us was very, very knowledgeable, not just about the produsct but as to how to install the boards with specifics about the edge boards tht were required with our choice of Trex. From the initial sale to the inevitable returns everyone dealt with was professional, helpful and friendly.

Was easy to cut to smaller sizes

Loved the color and durability of this item. Used for decking ramp to shed.

The Trex board is very well made

I love the color and 16 ft that came in. My deck is 16 ft. Perfect fit.

Upside, downside.

It looks nice and seems to wear well. The only downside is that if you put it under trees, the leaves and twigs collect between the boards at the spacers and you might have to use a screwdriver or knife to clean out the cracks. If you have a large deck, it can kind of be a pain.

Floor boards warped

The boards were warped from the shelf braces not being level. Caused the boards to curl up on the ends that made installation difficult. Talked to associate on next trip and they were going to fix shelving.

Hurricane Helene Rebuild

I researched alot on this product and even bought a few different color boards and laid them on our deck during the peak of summer to see how hot they would get. Going with solid boards was out of our budget and the tide pool color wa night and day difference when conducting “the feel” test on the hot boards. The Infrared thermometer said it was 10+ degrees cooler in Georgia. We had out order delivered and turned out it was a mix of old and new product, as you could tell by the ridges on the bac...

Great product. Medford, OR Lowes Understaffed

The product is great. Typical Trex. If you order from the Medford Lowes, be aware that they will not have it ready anytime near what they promise on the website when you order. I drove 3 hr. from the coast for a 9AM pickup as promised on the website and gave them 2 extra hours and arrived at the store at 11:15AM. Suffice it to say after many follow ups I finally had it loaded and ready for my 3 hr. drive back around 2PM. 3 hours of waiting around Lowes with nothing else to do gets really old...

Slippery when wet

The color was a perfect complement to our siding and roof . The ease of installation.

Warp Easily Do Not Buy

If your deck joists are spaced 24" apart, avoid using Trex Enhance Basics. These boards are too soft for that span — they will flex, warp, and may even crack within a year. Trex’s own installation guidelines specify that 24" spacing is only suitable for 2×6 boards, not the 1×6 Enhance Basics. This product is not designed to handle that load, and Trex will not cover damage under warranty in such cases. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more durable option or reduce your joist spacing.
