Overbuilt and over featured, but a good level

I have numerous levels of various lengths, sizes, speciality purpose etc... that I have acquired over the years. A direct comparison of the two most similar to this product revealed some "level nuances" that will make me more selective at the future point in time that I purchase (much to my wife's dismay) "another tool of which I already have several versions of." Reminiscent of the movie scene in Crocodile Dundee, "That's not a knife, that's a knife!", I could walk up to anyone holding a level and repeat that big screen moment! Love the lights on this sturdy level

This is a really nice quality 9” level. The 2 bubble vials are LED lit and they are sufficiently bright- really helps me since I have vision issues. I really love the lights. The battery compartment is waterproof, although the rubber gasket makes removing the cover a challenge as it sticks. The cover is hard to remove, I used an allen wrench in the bolt hole to pry it off. They should add a notch like they have on the larger 24” model and use captive bolts. Worth it

[Employee of lowes] I really like ToughBuilt, and each time I get something from them, I end up liking the brand even more. This level is solidly built, very straight, and has strong magnets. It’s been through a lot and still stays straight and accurate. I don’t really use the light-up feature, but it’s a nice bonus. For the strong build quality alone, I’d definitely buy it again.

LEDs really, really help!

4.5 stars because the magnet came undone when I first got it. Overall, I'm very pleased with this level. It's well built and well finished. Unlike another level I have, the one air bubble fills the entire space between the lines and the other is just a bit small, so it's easy to tell if it's level or not. I am not a professional contractor, just a homeowner who likes to work on home improvement projects. In general, I find a torpedo level and 24" level the basic level tools that I need. Has a very well made, durable aluminum frame. The packaging makes a point of the plastic “shock absorbing end-caps, but I found them annoying because they have rounded edges, so it cannot be used very well to check for 90 degrees from a vertical position on a flat surface (see photo). The Name Says It All

With a light and solid feel this 9" modern looking level screamed quality as soon as it hit my hand. Unlike my 12" square ( which I had to disassemble to use as a level..real pain to reassemble) the 1" precision milled base and top makes it virtually tip proof. With heavy duty tools usually comes more weight, and this level is no exception. It tipped my postal scale at just under 5 lbs, which is extremely heavy for a 4 ft level. Perfect Size For Smaller Jobs

This is a great size level for putting up shelves, large pictures and other things. I needed to put some shelves up in my bedroom and used this as it fit the bill with ease. It comes with a light built in and worked perfect in the corner of the bedroom where it was a bit dark and I had no problems seeing if the shelf would be level or not.
