Seems very sturdy tool, love that the numbers are engraved into the metal vs printed upon it. They will show much less wear over time. Also able to measure multiple angles vs standard square.

Designed solid. Decent little square. Not as many features as some other ones but the cheapest one they had that wasn’t made of plastic

12" Swanson square

Bought this to lay some LVP flooring, and it has worked well. The flooring I installed was over 9" in width so I needed a larger layout tool, and this has worked well. I like the layout notches, which really helps when scribing long lines. Swanson makes a good product in the USA at a comparable price to the lesser quality items manufactured elsewhere

Solid Aluminum Tool

Well, what to say about a hunk of aluminum? Not much. Light. Much, much better in terms of durability than the plastic ones. Finally, the gradients are etched into the metal and should be easily visible for a very long time.

A must for larger wood stock

This larger framing square is perfect for working with and scribing angle cuts on 6 & 8 inch boards. My first use was scribing a 20 degree angle needed to build a shoe rack for our closet
