I have decades, DECADES of construction experience and this has hands down been the WORST light to install ever. I dont know who designed this but they were idiots. Allow me to explain: 1. The attaching screws are far too long. They have to be long, understandably to get far enough past the holes in the "bubble" at the center to attach the fixture to the wall. Not easy to install with standard light boxes
I have installed about a dozen of these. Watch out if you have standard 2 3/4 inch round light boxes or if mounting holes in the box are vertical. The screws to mount the fixture to the plate are 2 3/4 inches apart and vertical. So if the mounting holes in the box are vertical the plate screws and the fixture screws conflict. In those cases I've screwed the fixture directly to the box and forgetting about the plate and "ball nuts". Other times when you want to make the fixture screws shorte...
Bad mounting hardware.
Unfortunately, like a few of the other reviewers we experienced the same issue with the screws meant to mount the light to the wall being way too long for the screw caps to cover. This is the third attempt at a light from the Allen+Roth brand. The first was beautiful LED vanity light that quit working both times in under a month. Returned that for the Valleymede farmhouse style that is too very pretty but packaged with screws that are way to long to properly mount it. Both lights had similar is...
Frustrating - Screws included won't work for all
Thank goodness for the reviews from other customers so I knew it wasn't just me but it is frustrating that the problem has not been addressed. Why would the company include hardware that is not usable to install the light? As someone else reported, the screws that the light attaches to need to be 1 inch long - approximately - if you box is not deep in the wall. If they company included the nut that could make the screw length adjustable, I would not have had to make a trip to buy the right screw...
Great Product
I purchased the light because the globes were clear and I hoped that would allow for more light in our bathroom, which has zero windows or natural light. I am very happy with the final product. Easy install, great light.

Bad Hardware
Although this light is gorgeous and caught our eye at the store. Installation was a nightmare and then some. First of all, the mounting bracket did not sit right in our electrical box. Second the screws to mount the actual light were far too long! We ended up having to cut down screws from our previous light fixture and in the process cut a wire trying to rig the screws to fit. Dont waste your money on this product.

Vanity light
The fixture is beautiful, the problem was that Lowes didn’t have anymore in stock of the Nickel only black. So we decided to order the replacements globs that were broken form the company. This proved to be impossible. There were like 10 number listed but none of them were for the company, the web page took me to al sorts of different companies instead of their costumer service. I think if Lowes is going to carry a product in the store then they should carry the replacement part as well. Or choo...
wrong hardware
I'm very frustrated that I went through the installation to only find out the hardware labeled DD long machine screw is too long to secure the fixture to the bracket. now I have to uninstall everything and go back to Lowes to find an appropriate replacement that will work and reinstall. For $100 they could do better with their hardware and unfortunately I just read previous reviews with the same issue.

Impossible to replace glass
It's a beautiful light, but we tried to replace a broken glass shade. Allen and Roth said lowes does it, then loses said they don't carry it. Called Allen and Roth back and they then told me Kicher carries it... however, they said they don't... had to buy a new one just to replace the shades. Waste of money, waste of time.
