Other reviewers mentioned that they had to make modifications to the plate that rests against the ceiling because it was not flush, and there were visible gaps on the ends between the ceiling and the plate. I did not have this experience even though the glass pendant shades that I used were quite heavy. The fixture allows for custom length of each pendant light, which was a plus. If it appears to have been opened check first

Parts were missing. Item apparently had been opened and return to stock without checking if all parts were present . This was very inconvenient as we had to schedule a return call with our contractor to place another time after drywall work had been started

Looks nice but...

Installation is a problem. Took me way too long to install this as the included hardware is terrible and under rated for the design of the light bar. Light bar is too long for the bracket given to hold it tight to the ceiling. And the wires are way too long. I ended up having to cut 2 feet off each cord and re-splice them together, even then to push the remainder up into was a problem, and pushes the bar away from the ceiling. I ended up mounting this unit right to the ceiling just to ho;d it up...

Amazing lights w EZ solution for flexing problem

We solved the problem of this fixture pulling away from the ceiling at the ends. The items we used are shown in the last picture after the fixture was up and drooping we drilled a hole in each end and then carefully into the ceiling as well the fixture has enough flexibility to be turned so that we could see the holes that we just put in the ceiling. This works perfectly over my new kitchen island and that I can pick whatever globe or glass to use with this system. Found it in the brushed nickel which my kitchen handles match

Had High Hopes

We liked the concept of selecting the pendant configuration and covers separately. Unfortunately, this particular fixture is mounted with only a 4-inch connector so the ends of the cover may or may not ("not" in our case) mount flush to the ceiling. We had selected glass covers that were approximately 6" in diameter that were on the heavy side, but the cover plate wasn't flush even without the glass covers attached. Pitiful design

Thought I would love this. Taking out of the box should have been my first clue it wouldn't hold its own weight. The center mount for the three dangling fixtures was quite flimsy to start. As soon as we started mounting the light to the ceiling we realized that the only way to mount it to the ceiling was via two screws very close to the center of the base. Clearly the designer did not think this through. There was nothing to mount the outside ends to keep them from pulling away from the ceiling....

I’m embarrassed I bought this. Bought at 10am and by 12pm it needed to be replaced, I’ve installed hundreds of lights in my life. Fixture is flimsy aluminum. Fittings have plastic threads and came stripped out, ones that werent stripped out became stripped with less pressure than tightening a bottle cap.
