What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this hole saw set for exceptional performance in wood, plywood, and soft materials, with the rapid core eject arbor called game-changing by many. The comprehensive size range and value proposition earn strong approval for residential construction, electrical, and plumbing tasks. However, a notable group reports significant failures on masonry, tile, and fiber cement, citing pilot bit breakage and carbide tip deterioration. A few mention the saws are too aggressive for fine woodworking. Overall, most customers consider it excellent for heavy-duty construction despite limitations on harder materials.

I have used hole saws my whole life but I have never used one as good as this. I would definitely recommend these to anyone. They cut fast. Easy removal of wood in the center. I don't usually leave reviews but this is something to definitely brag about.

Strong Carbide
Debated a few different types of "hole saws" due to amount of materials and projects going on. Settled on this Spyder kit due to blade type, variety for price (w/ on sale), and strength of carbide. You are not going to get a clean smooth cut in wood with this like with the Milwaukee hold dozer style teeth, but went for strength in multiple material types (heavy gauge) over finesse tooth count. Not disappointed at all, got what I expected which is what I want from a hole saw kit.

Very well constructed. Cuts clean holes quickly.
I purchased this Spyder 14-piece hole saw set for wood and masonry products and the Spyder Tarantula 9-piece set for steel. I have already used the steel set to cut 2 two inch holes in an already mounted sheet a 14 gauge steel. I was very surprised how easily and cleanly the carbide-tipped bit and circular teeth cut through the steel. Looking forward to using the 14-piece set on upcoming wood projects.

Well build tool
I like the arbor is sold separately so I can cut it off and make plugs for special material. I like the carbide tips so I can send them to be resharpened.

Will not succesfully cut through 1/2" cement board
For wood or other soft materials the drill bits work well. I do like the design to perform quick bit changes and hoe the cut material is easily removed from the bit. HOWEVER it is a waste of time and it is very misleading to include a masonry center bit in the set. I attempted to drill a 1 1/2" hole in half inch cement board and it destroyed the carbide tip.

Not for professionals!
I’m a plumber and I used these hole saws at work today for probably the third or fourth time so they’re basically brand new. In fact I don’t think I had even used the 2.5” inch bit yet. I was using that specific size with my M18 Hole Hawg to drill holes for DWV pipe and on the second hole of the day I hit a nail perpendicular in the center of the stud that I didn’t know it was there and it absolutely destroyed the bit. All three of the carbide teeth broke clean off, the holesaw itself bent and w...

SPYDER Carbide-tipped Arbored Hole Saw Set
I consider the SPYDER Carbide-tipped Arbored Hole Saw Set to be my best tool purchase of the year! In fact, I've gone so far as to give away all my other hole saws and arbors in my toolbox, and for good reason. The SPYDER Hole Saw system has exceeded all my expectations, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The carbide-tipped blades are incredibly durable, and are still sharp after several projects that included wood, styrene and metal. The arbored design (OMGosh! I love this design!) makes...

Amazed
I've been in construction for 40 years, I ran into a situation today with having to move an island in a kitchen forward about a foot. We had to relocate 2 supply lines, 1- 1 1/2" drain and a electrical wire. But we had to drill through LVP that was laid over Tile, then ,1/4" backer board , then thinset and then 1" Advantex subfloor. We grabbed some of the Spyder hole saws because we couldn't find anything else at the time. Let me say this first , I've seen these Spyder displays at Lowe's for ye...

does not like brick
Did not like the brick I was trying to drill an inch a three eights hole into. barely scratched the brick. I had to buy a $70 masonary bit to do the job.
