Slice Manual Industrial 17.5mm 1 -Blade Retractable Utility Knife

With four blade lock positions, this industrial knife cuts anything from cardboard to thick foam and fiberglass insulation. Its installed rounded-tip blade reaches a maximum cutting depth of 76 millimeters (approx. 3 inches). As with all Slice® tools, the manual industrial knife has an easy, no-tool blade change that also lets you switch the blade orientation for left-handed users. And the blade is finger friendly®: it cuts effectively and is safe to the touch. The industrial knife’s ergonomic handle is made from durable reinforced nylon, designed to last through the toughest jobs. Convenience features include a built-in lanyard hole and a quick-release blade change button. The Slice® zirconium oxide safety blade is non-reactive, never rusts, and lasts up to 11 times longer than metal blades.

Works well for a few hours

Would Not Recommend

Used the knife to cut foam board 1" thick. After about 1 hour of cutting the spring that retracts the blade uncoupled from the knife holder and that was the end. There is no way to get inside to reconnect the spring.

This knife cuts insulation like butter. It does not wear off. It is a little pricey but worth it.
