Bought this to replace one that died after many years of use. Perfect size for every household job- especially cleaning garage and car. Lightweight and easy to move from place to place. The QR code nonsense for this vac is so bad
As other reviews state, there's no instructions for assembly and use included in the box. You're supposed to scan a QR code. I find a QR code on the box, but it's just a promo video for the model I bought. I already bought the thing, I don't need a promo video. There's a slip of paper inside the box with several QR codes and I'm supposed to scan my model number. There's no model # on the box that matches the format or contents of any of the QR code model numbers. So I go to Shop-Vac's website...
Internet required to go get assembly instructions!
It can not be over stated how ridiculous it is to sell a product that requires assembly and provide zero instructions or assembly guide or anything with the product! You are forced to unbox everything, then find warrnings brocure then on last inside page find scan codes to multiple models online instructions. Okay this may be long. I bought this shop vac impulsively because I could not find the 12gallon Craftsman. I wanted the plastic model because it will not rust. The worst vacuum my shop has ever bought
Ultra piercingly loud, super cheap wheel mounts and legs break in just a few months. Must have had corporate exec people working for the engineering department on this one. Super inconvenient and ineffective location for any accessories, right in the way of the cord and opening and closing the unit. Bought this brand new from online to pick up in store, and after picking it up and taking it home. Turns out they gave me a returned one that was used and broken. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU ARE A GENUIS ENGINEER
Multiple parts and NO assemblt guidance whatsoever. So frustrating to have no assembly instructions and just a QR code that links to an unintelligible instruction manual. What really angered me was the email response I received from ShopVac customer service. I explained their instructions were confusing and asked if they had a video tutorial. The response was a blank email, no message at all, just a PDF attachment of the very instructions I said were confusing. I do not recommend ShopVac at all....
