I started using Three in One a couple of years ago and it has been the best fertilizer that I have ever used.

Worst fertilizer I have tried to spread.

Worst fertilizer product I have ever applied to my lawn in 30 years with a scotts broadcast spreader! I bought this product today so I have no idea how well this product might work over the next couple of months if I was able to get the product to spread evenly. I set my spreader to 3-1/4 per the direction and noticed that most of the time nothing was coming out of the spreader unless I hit a bump or banged the tub. Even when I adjusted the spreader to 5-1/4 most of the time very little came out...

Mixed feelings on continuing to use Scott's.

I've always used Scott's products and will probably continue to do so. It's convenient. Here's the reason for continuing to use a product I rate at 3 stars. In and of itself, the fertilizer works fine. My problem is that I have a 15,000 square foot lawn, and Scott's, like so many other product manufacturers, has changed the large bag to 14,000 square foot and of course, are charging more for it. That means, in order to get complete coverage, I have to buy a what used to be 5,000 square foot...

White Clover Overload

The grass turned more green but instead of dying, the white clover took off! Scott’s was kind enough to refund my purchase price but until I can try something else, I have more white clover than grass. I applied the triple action product with a Scott’s Elite spreader at the specified rate of 3 1/4. Perhaps the 2 year old spreader is faulty but at the cost of it I hope not. This product worked better than I expected

I live in Southeastern North Carolina in a community where our HOA dues pays for the lawn maintenance. Whatever the product is the lawn maintenance company uses, in my opinion, is the cheapest they can buy in bulk and does little to nothing to our lawns. So, after doing some research, I decided to try Scott's Turf Builder Southern Triple Action for Zoysia, which is what we have. OMG!! I wish I had done this years ago. Our lawn is now the thickest and greenest it has ever been. An AMAZING product...

Does not work as advertised.

The instructions are confusing and contradictory. I followed the instructions closely, but most of the responses are not what was written on the bag. It "impaired" some of the dandelions, but I had to hit them again with Weed Begone to finish the job. I still have several patches of clover that were not impacted. I think they tried to do too much with one product. I will revert to Andersons Barricade for preemergence and Scott's Weed and Feed for post emergence weed control. I have not bothere...

first weeds die, then later grass greens up

This is an excellent product, however it does not seem so when first applied! The first time I used it, after a few days the lawn seemed to be yellowing or dying. Upon a closer look though, I could see it was the various weeds that were dying. Then about 7-10 days after application, the lawn started looking greener. After 1 month the entire lawn looked so much better than prior to use - darker green, strong thicker grass, very few weeds. Noticeably better than the other lawns around me. I have...

Doesn’t prevent crabgrass!!

First time trying the triple-action. Bought in April and put down in early spring/April and worked good for weeds; dandelion, etc.. In June, noticed some crabgrass near driveway edges, etc.. so for put down again in June to ensure lasted full season (hot August). But now in Mid-July and yard is COVERED in crab grass!! Can’t tell anywhere it was prevented and nothing else was done to lawn; not thatched, treated, etc…. False advertisement IMO..

Fertilized but didn’t prevent or kill weeds

I applied in early April and thought that it worked because the spots with crabgrass from last year remained dead. It did not prevent or kill clover, chickweed, henbit, ground ivy, or spurge. It did prevent and kill dandelions. However, after 4 weeks the crabgrass began to grow back. I treated the lawn again 5 weeks after the first application when I started to notice the grabgrass coming in but it did absolutely nothing. This product is only good for fertilizing your lawn and killing dandelions...

Product clumps and can't be spread.

I bought four bags of this before last winter and wanted to apply them today now that conditions are right (temp. and lack of rain forecast). I was also going to water before applying. When I opened the first bag it was full of large hard clumps and what wasn't felt moist. The bags had been stored in a dry shed and it has remained dry inside. I thought I could break up the clumps and use it, but there were too many clumps and after I broke them all up and put them in the spreader the granule...
