Love the Look, Room for Improvement

We love the simple look, overall functionality and simple rekeying. The finish is not as durable as we expected for a Schlage product and scratches easily when inserting the key. Leveling the square interior and exterior plates at the same time during installation was challenging and time consuming! A plate stop or quick release lock similar to how the handles are changed would greatly ease the installation process. The lever handle sags slightly right out of the box and without use. We hop...

Decided to go with a quality lock. These are either left or right handed and you can switch from privacy to passage with just one added piece. Real easy. They are solid and look good. Timeless finish. Very pleased with our selection. We changed 8 door handles and what a difference in looks.

Just had installed and it looks great, butbjobidea how the finish will wear over time. Satin brass color is a little more on the yellow gold side, but for the price point it does the job.
