[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the pleasure of using Rust-Oleum Door & Trim Advanced Dry Paint in the elegant Satin White shade, It’s an exceptional product that has truly impressed me in various aspects. The claim of "ultimate durability" is not an exaggeration. This paint stands up to the test of my kids , showing no signs of fading or chipping even after extended exposure to wear and tear .This quality is invaluable, especially for exterior surfaces that...

Durable
I used this paint on the interior side of the doors and other interior areas on my 1955 Chevrolet that I am restoring. There is surface rust in the interior due to the car being 67 years old and I wanted to coat it to preserve the metal and prevent any rust from getting worse over time. I used two coats with the first coat going on thinner than I expected but that could be because I used a foam applicator versus a traditional paint brush. I used a foam applicator brush to get clean edges for ...
Reliable brand
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, no secret here, but I buy Rust-O-Leum paint whenever they have one for the job I need and they pretty consistently have every kind for home improvement and DIY anyway. We’re doing some reno fixing up the old house and it means calling up all I know about efficiency so naturally, the many door and window trim issues around the house are among them. So when I see the brand and Door and Trim in nice big letters, I’m there for it. What I like a...

No odor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the past I’ve always used Rust-Oleum spray paint and been very happy with it. I did not know they came out with paint cans and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to try it. The can comes with two lid clips which were a bit hard to remove. I do t know if they were put because the paint came in the mail. I had to use an awl to pry open. Didn’t like that. Paint looks creamy. Of a thicker consistency than one is used to. There was no ...

Prep work and patients is key.
For full disclosure I tried this paint on my workshop door, it was damaged in a storm and I was going to replace it anyway, so it makes for a perfect test. All information is for a metal exterior door. Cleaning the surface and putting down a good primer goes a long way. I did not do any prep or primer, so i got out what i put in to it. My test was not to see how nice i could make it but how to keep others from making it look this bad. The paint was the consistency of pudding, you will need to d...

Quick Drying, Low Fumes
I used this for my metal basement door that leads from a finished portion of my basement to the garage side of the basement. The paint is thick and it gives great coverage, I only needed one coat but still did the recommended two coats. 1 QT was plenty for the door, I had a little more than ½ a can left over. Like advertised it dries quickly, not just to the touch but dry enough to close the door tightly and not have it stick like normal paint would before it fully cures over a few days. I barre...
Poor coverage, dries too fast, uneven sheen
This paint dries way too fast, it's nearly impossible to keep a wet edge while working the door, so you end up with streaks, and overlap that shows different sheen. I've used a lot of paints over the years and I've never had this many problems getting a professional looking result. After two coats I had to sand the door down and switched to a different brand. One coat and it was nearly perfect. A lot of the reviews on here are from "influenster" which sends people free products in returns for ...
Absolutely Amazing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had such a great experience using this door and trim paint. I did the trim of the whole house and all the doors with it. It was so easy to work with and dries down quickly. A nice thing about the texture is if you make a mistake it and get it somewhere you don’t want it, it has a bit of a gummy texture while drying that you can easily scrape right off. The color is very pigmented and the finish is a beautiful satin. I would buy no other door ...

Goes on smooth, dries fast. Clean-up is a breeze.
This paint is for metal doors. I have an old (60+ yrs) metal garden shed that's been through a lot. I thought, if this paint can make the door on that shed look good, then it can make any door look good. The paint is very thick, like pudding and it goes on like butter. Unfortunately, like butter, it didn't stick well using either a brush or roller. You can apply the paint, but if you go over it again it just streaks. Don't expect to cover your door with one coat. However, after the 2nd coat, t...
