horrible experience

after paying an electrician to install, trying to set up in the app over 20 times, and 50 min on the phone with the ring customer service, I have nothing set up + an installation bill. Ring offered me nothing. told me to deal with lowes showing no accountability to their product. They would not refund the install fee I had to pay for the product they agreed is defective. treated with zero concern. Lowes- be aware ring is putting the ownership on you alone

Defective item, Blew two transformers

I have been through the doorbell and wiring and transformer. The doorbell video worked, first time someone rang the doorbell the transformer blew. i replaced the transformer and the wire, tested it and it blew again. did it once more to be sure... yep blew again. no continuity in the wire. it is the doorbell that has the short, video works until you press the doorbell button. Save yourself the headache. There a re better deivces for this price point.

Please note I have had the doorbell for about three weeks now. What motivated this particular bell purchase, was my first impressions of having "Ring Flood Light." I purchased with the thought of "the other Ring devices have worked perfectly, this should be a nice addition". inconsistent, unreliable

I've had this for over 2 years now. This last on really got me going. It quit working for a week this time. Then it started up all by itself. Nothing to indicate why. Check closely the below items before purchasing this doorbell, I found out the hard way that my internet download speed was not sufficient enough to keep the doorbell online. 1. Do a speed test on your Internet Service Provider, you need a minimum download of 1.00 megs. 2. Check your doorbell transformer, it needs to be at least 16 volts. I purchased this 7/7/18, got it home and first read the packet of instructions, then re-read them.
