The Ability to Program Needs Work

You need to think outside the box to program this thermostat. Normal programmable thermostats lay it out really clear. This on only gives you three options to choose from: home, away, and sleep. A normal programmable thermostat has home, away, sleep, and wake up to keep it simple. I do not leave my house when I sleep. Excellent Performer but is NOT HomeKit Compatible

I have installed several 3lites in various homes for myself and for friends and family. Their operation seems flawless; setup is a snap; and it works fine with Alexa. Expected Better

I've had my Ecobee3 Lite for a while now so I've had it long enough to have a good opinion of it. It looks nice, and operates my heat pump as expected. I like the programmable features and setting schedules. My main issue is it's very inconsistent with temp readings. It's growing on me!

I've used the product for a month. My background is designing HVAC systems and controls for large commercial buildings. Packaging is almost too beautiful. The install instructions are so good a child could follow them. Unit was up and running in about 15 minutes. A few more minutes and I had access on my phone. So far, so good. Fake 3 year warranty - Do not buy Ecobee

TDLR: To anyone considering buying an EcoBee 3 lite. Avoid this product, I was a user for over a year. Moved to a new house that had an existing EcoBee. Unit failed, caused HVAC damage. Issue was resolve for $$$. I didn't even mind that. However EcoBee does not stand by their 3 year warranty claims. Buy anything else. READ BEFORE YOU BUY!

This thermostat has two major flaws! One with how it functions and one with INCREDIBLY deceptive business practices. Functionality - The thermostat CANNOT be placed in a room with airflow or a fan. Any airflow on the device, like a ceiling fan, will cause it to read wildly inaccurate temperatures. If you have any sort of airflow near this thermostat it WILL NOT function correctly. Fantastic so far!

This is our first smart thermostat and we are enjoying it a lot, so far. This replaced the thermostat that has been in the house, since the 90s. Installation instructions were pretty straightforward. WARNING! Junk Product with ZERO Customer Support!

I have an ecobee 3 and seven remote sensors throughout my house. The thermostat is located on a wall which has no sunlight hitting it nor are there any other heat sources anywhere near it. I currently have the system set to run the fan continuously and I have the stat set at 73 deg. F with no 'Nighttime' or 'Away' setback temperatures programed.
