After unboxing and reading the information provided, I also YouTube an instruction video to help ensure a proper installation. Not easy to use and poor quality

I purchased this unit based on the recommendation of my Heating and Air Condition company. I found this to be a big mistake as we had the unit for over 6 months and had the following issues. 1. Unit was not easy to use. Just changing the temps was a big issue for my family members and others visiting our house. You have to swipe the unit to change the temps which is not easy to do. Only buy this if you are tech savoy and want something that is not just a thermostat. If you are looking for a thermostat them keep looking. You can spend less and get more features. Pros if you have an older home that only uses 4 wire connection then this allows you to install. Though they should include a wiring diagram as w and o/b overlap on many other thermostats and if you don't check them you may put the w in o/b and you should only use o/b for heat pump. Some use cases actually cost you money!!

Temp algorithms that pre heat/cool a room when the schedule changes can be bugged out if you also change the number of sensors used to calculate the current temperature in the house. I have had an Ecobee 3 lite for some time already. Was looking to upgrade and improve my Ecobee experience. So took advantage of their sale foe earth day and got me the thermostat with voice control. Works well. More predictable than Nest

Easy to set up, although it does require that you connect its Power Extender Kit if you don't have a C-wire at your thermostat. My old Nest did not need this, but I suppose the advantage is that unlike the Nest, the Ecobee's screen is always on so you don't need to wake it up to use it. I hate this thing, it's frustrating and unreliable

First off the geo-fencing works sporadically. At times I'm home for over an hour and it still says "away and holding" and I've got the home zone set at 5 kilometers. At other times I check on it hours later when I'm at work 15 miles away ant it says "home and holding".
