Fall is a great time to plant grass seed. In southern regions, warm season grasses go dormant in the winter. Overseed southern lawns with ryegrass for a green lawn all winter long. All it takes are 5 simple steps. Step One: PREPARE - Mow lawn as closely as possible and rake to remove debris and loosen soil. Step Two: PLANT SEED - Spread evenly using spreader settings on the bag. Step Three: RAKE - Gently rake seed into soil. Step Four: FERTILIZE - Use fertilizer to promote growth. Step Five: WATER - Keep soil moist by watering once or twice a day unti about 3 inches tall.
