Bad experience! Waste of time and money!!!!

The installation by Lowes was horrible. They lost the door knob or ordered the wrong one several times. I couldn't keep track of all the stories I heard from the different employees I spoke too so I gave up on having a storm door that locks. More issues with the door followed. First, the shader slider kept falling off and is now unusable; then, the door knob handles rotated, falling out with increasing regularity. Great Storm Door for the price

We love our new storm door, my wife was a little concerned about installing it ourselves but to be honest , it was the easiest door we have ever done. The instructions were simple . It is beautiful, the blinds glide up and down the ease. We had a lot of air coming inside prior to the door being installed. We have notice a huge difference in the temp in the foyer, and no more air coming in.

DO NOT BUY THIS DOOR

This is a great idea, but in the end, the details that matter are executed so poorly. FIRST ISSUE- The door handle comes apart all the time. When it happens, it literally comes off in your hand with the other half of the handle falling on the floor on the other side of the door. HOPE YOU HAVE ANOTHER WAY IN YOUR HOUSE. There is NO SOLUTION to this problem. It happens repeatedly. SECOND ISSUE- The dead-bolt lock gets hung up in the door and simply will not come out of the door to engage the lo...

Multiple repairs in 4 years

We want to love this door. We do love the blinds and the ability to block light. However, in four years we have had to replace the door handle at least three times, the blind knob once, and the bottom hydraulic door closer twice, after which it will no longer attach into the thin metal of the bottom plate. Best storm doors ever!

I bought 2 (front and back doors) several years ago. These are very well built and the blinds work as a privacy factor. I can open them pointing downward just enough for me to see who is at the door without them seeing me. I have no need for a peep hole in the door. I can raise them all the way up for a full view effect. The pneumatic arms are very strong, especially in strong winds. This Pella Ventian Storm Door was a special order and installation. Performed by Layth of Austin Doors (thru Vance Install Service). We love the door and felt Layth did an excellent job installing it. The blinds between the glass design works flawlessly and give complete control of light and heat on our eastern facing entrance. We were able to return excess material for credit at Lowes.

Beautiful Door, Good Quality

We debated about spending 400 dollars on just a storm door, but from the moment it was installed, all doubts were gone. We immediately fell in love with it on day one. Love the concept, quality questionable

I purchased this door in Dec 2019. The first things to go were the pneumatic door closers, because some essential parts are plastic, not metal and they broke almost right away. By contrast, I had a door with all essential parts metal for 30 years before I got this door and nothing broke on that door. flawed handle design

First off, the door is gorgeous, and I love the inset blind. That being said, Pella should either recall and/or replace the handles. I've completely replaced it and the new one has the same problem. The only thing that holds the interior and exterior handles to the bolt that connects them (and thus actually turns the lock) is a very small (appx 1/8 inch) screw that will work it's way lose about once a week or more, if like me, you have an active house hold that uses the door a lot. Beautiful Door, just what we needed.

The door itself is beautiful. The blind control mechanism is pretty cool too (magnets-go figure). I just completed the installation an hour ago. The fit is good, but not excellent-not the fault of the door/frame, but the builder of my home, the door frame is not plumb on both sides. As is, the door seals pretty darn good.
