Why didn't I have this a long time ago.

This is the first deck we've framed with a positive placement nailer and so far, so good. Hand nailing can be enjoyable but, if you have fat sausage fingers like I do, roofing nails and joist nails can be tricky to nail without smashing a finger once in a while. Palm nailers were an improvement but positive placement nailers are another step up and you don't have an air hose snagging on things or weighing you down. The nailer comes in an impressive plastic case, with custom cavities for holding the gun, battery, charger, gas cylinders, etc. It should be noted that the gas cylinder does not come with the nail gun, so make sure you pick one up or you'll be making another trip to the store. It kind of makes sense to sell the gas separately because it has an expiration date and if the nailer sits on the store shelf for months, the gas will be expiring. I selected this tool for use on an upcoming Deck Project I will be doing with my son. I have used pneumatic nailers before as well as cordless finish nailers, but this my first experience using a nailer with a Fuel Cell. It was also my first time using a positive placement unit. Great product easy transition from offbrand . Easy to load nails , kind of heavy and was a learning curve on best posture but i made it work . Nails are expensive

I love the product. I hate when it jams. it's super strong. love the fact I don't need a air compressor and it's all battery/fuel based. super mobile and no issues there. I've run about 400 nails through it so far with 1 annoying jam so far.

Cool idea, hefty gun

I like the idea of trying to save weight with the fuel cell and small battery, but the gun is still quite hefty. I do not have a full size battery framing nailer to directly compare, but I’d imagine they are pretty heavy. The accuracy of this gun is impressive and would make firing directly into the small holes in joist hangers simple; the nail goes exactly wear the metal point sits. Great idea to have a "positive placement" tip so in this day and age (where most joists and purloins are installed with metal brackets) you are assured of putting the nails where they belong. The weight of the unit is not significant when compared to a pneumatic nailer and the ability to go where you need without dragging a hose is well worth it. Very well built nailer!

This nailer works with a fuel system, so it is much lighter than other nailers that have a heavy battery pack. I love that it works without the need for a compressor and lugging around a heavy hose. This is especially important to me when nailing rafters overhead. A heavy nailer would add to the effort involved in the job.
