It didn't cut real easy teared a little but did the job wouldn't recommend

I’m still jumping through hoops for my permits but I’ve read tons of good reviews on the simplicity and ease of install. You can also get a secondary 20”x40” base for larger showers (that’s my plan). A great tool to build a shower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oatey 40" x40" perfect slope base is a great product for someone who don't know how to mqke shower pqn. I have done many and this will definitely save me time. I am waiting for my other supplues to come in to finísh the shower. It is an amazing tool to build a shower for anyone who likes DYI. I will definitely recommend this product.

Easy install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this system to help give you that perfect slope when installing a shower. It is easy to follow the instructions and make adjustments if needed as it’s made out of Styrofoam you can easily cut it.

Convenient, worth it!

Love the ease at which the slope is already there, no guessing, no extra mortar. It is foam core, felt a little squishy when stepped on, causing concern that there may be movement once installed. Only time will tell.

Awful!

This product is glorified foam with cardboard over it. As others have said here, your tile will crack. Your grout will fail. I installed this thing exactly to manufacturers specs. Now I have to go rip the entire thing out and do it the old fashioned way because the grout failed, tiles cracked, etc. Thanks for this trash Oatey. Oatey makes installations easier.

NOTE: This is two components (sloped base and a weephole disk) of a shower install. See the packaging for the other items needed. This is for square and rectangular showers up to 40”x60” if you get the optional extension kit. This product is great as long as the subfloor is level. I’ve built shower bases out of sand mix before and it takes so long to make everything symmetric and properly sloped, especially if the drain is not centered in the shower. Easy install, failed overall

Easy to install, slope was perfect. Followed all the instructions on guest bathroom shower install. Worked great at first. However, after several uses the grout all started to crack and come apart due to flex in the styrofoam. Had to rip out entire floor and will have to start over. I would not recommend.
