Great lock solid construction

Purchased this to meet code for pool installation. The newer one is what I actually wanted which displays a lock indicator. That one was out of stock and this was what was left. I am not disappointed. Installation was super simple, the build quality is superb and after installing it I realized I actually prefer this one to the newer “lock indicator” model only because the key cylinder on this one is not visible to the general public because it’s located beneath the head facing the ground.

10 years no issues.

I've had two of these latches in my pool fence for 10 years with no issues. I like that the release is at the top so small kids can't reach it to open the gate. I'm installing a third gate for maintenance reasons and am purchasing another one of these latches for this gate. Only issue is that in a freezing rain they can freeze and not open, but that's a temporary issue and the pools closed and covered anyway.

Don't bother.

They easily break. However; the worst part about the product is that if you live in the north where there's snow, sleet, and/or freezing rain about six months out of the year like here in Bowling Green Ohio they freeze up in the locked position. The good news is like I said, "they easily break." 1 mild kick to a gate that won't even damage a gate will break the lock and you'll be on your way. I suggest a different latch.

Lift rod became unattached rendering the product unusable. There doesn’t seem to be any way to reattach the lift rod. This had minimal use on my deck pool. The latch was 3 years old.

Great Latch that gets the Job Done

We needed a new latch for our pool gate and this is the one for us. The install directions are a little tricky to understand, but once you figure it out, the latch works perfectly. It seems to be high quality and i would definitely recommend it

Works well - until it breaks.

Same thing happened to mine as it did the other reviewer. I only give it 2 stars because it works really well for the first three years until you need to buy a new one.

Anything that helps to protect kids is great.

At first I was why do I have to have this but then after installing it I can see why it helps protect our little ones.
