Everything I expected from a Napoleon!

Light, competent grill. Prefer how the grill doubles as a burner shield (heat distributor) --- one less component to clean/maintain. Heats up quick and temp gauge is accurate.

Good but not enough for me

Hard to reach 500f. I have to wait more than 15 minutes to reach searing temperature. I have a prestige 500 at home, wich I recommend to anyone and this is why a bought this bbq for the camping. Well made, good quality but I am a little bit disappointed with is performance.

Barbeque Bonanza Indeed!

Assembly is quick & easy as most of this BBQ is Factory assembled. Works very well, however I was shocked to discover the Burners have no upper guards to help protect the Burners.

Nice Grill - Terrible Gas Flow Control Knobs

I purchased a TravelQ 285X grill about 3 years ago. The grill is fine for my wife and I, however it has an extremely weak point. I probably use this grill perhaps 10 times a year and both of the gas control knobs have broken more than once. I have replaced two of them and I now have another broken one. There is a weak point in the knobs where they push onto the metal gas control shaft. Inside the knob is a thin metal tab and, where this tab is inserted into the plastic surround, the plastic...

Tailgate time

This is the master game day tailgate grill it fits 17 burgers very easily and seven large sirloin steaks. I’m very happy just wish they had a volunteer orange.

A most satisfying buy

Simple design is often the best design. The 285's duality consistently cooks all 'grillables' as desired. Equally important is that it deals so well with drippings collection and makes short work of cleaning and residue disposal. Although touted as a portable, this is the perfect, do-it-all grill for a retired couple, replacing the family behemoth. This quickly became a most satisfying buy!

Good BBQ, unsafe folding mechanism.

Works great, high heat, reliable, relatively easy to clean, two burners and a griddle opens up a lot of options. Very great value for the price. The stand is the reason for 4 stars; I am very mechanically inclined and I find it to be very awkward and a good way to bruise your fingers and toes. For someone less able bodied or not as mechanically inclined, I wouldn't let them fold up the barbeque on their own. Dangerous to have around children if they like playing with things like this. Poor Knob longevity

Similar to other owners it seems, both control knobs have broken (light use) and there does appear to be/I cannot find a way to purchase replacements. Additionally, no one has replied to warranty claim. Otherwise, grill works well and is just right for my space and needs.

The best all around travel BBQ in the world!

My good purchase

Napoleon Travel Q 285X portable BBQ is my very good purchase. Its working fantastic, looks great, comfortable to carry with for outdoor program. Very easy to handle and grilling performance is very satisfactory. I love it and I will recommend it.
