You're basically paying $100 for a decent brass valve and a nice standard shower arm (which I didn't use). Everything else is cheap plastics. Plus the faucet handle is loosens and wiggles and has to retighten. I've had to retighten today for the 3rd time in 5 months ... hence this review.

Not happy
This product was a complete fail during my bathroom remodel. After the installation from a highly skilled worker, the water kept leaking out of the showerhead when the knob turns on without pulling the shower knob. After 2 days of troubleshooting and replacing a new cartridge and valve, the leak still continued. My contractor saw no other solution but to uninstall this product. As soon as he installed a new set he had to run out and buy (Delta), the leaking problem disappeared. Not sure what the...

Faulty new Alder Model 8260 tub/shower combo valve
I just installed a new Alder tub/shower valve. Water only trickles from the tub spout regardless of the position of the control handle. Everything is connected properly but the valve does not work

Leaks at threads
Leaks on threads of both sides. Used FNPT to cpvc fittings to make water connections with ptfe tape and it leaks. Tried to redo it 3 times, even bought new fittings thinking its the fitting was bad. I think its a bad threading job from manufacturer but i will try buying a different brand fitting and using pipe sealant liquid along with tape to see if it works. Frustrating to spend $100+ dollars and have these issues prolong a project.
