Compressor failed after three years.

Midea advertises a ten year warranty on their compressors but when mine died after only three years they would not offer any warranty support. Our Frigidaire is 19 years old and still going strong. Definitely do not recommend buying anything from this brand.

Broke down after 2 years, can't find water filters

Bought this refrigerator 2 years ago, and now it's broke down. Lost all my food & medicines. Of course this happened after manufacturing warranty is up. We did purchase the Lowes protection plan, but it's really a joke on the consumer. Still waiting for them to attempt to fix it. This fridge needs a water filter, which LPP reimburses 50% as a "care & performance" product, but only if purchased at Lowe's or a Lowe's subsidiary. Nothing but trouble

Has never really worked well and now after less than 2 years the door alarm won't stop going off, ice maker quite working and Midea customer support is laughable. Has been going on for 3.5 weeks and they are still asking for a receipt that we have submitted repeatedly. Was a mistake going with this brand.

We have only had this fridge for a few weeks so my review reflects limited experience on this fridge. bought March 10, 2023 stopped cooling today, exactly three years and a day later , March 11, 2026 ....inside control panel on the door flickers and glitches. you shouldn't have to replace appliances every few years.

Midea Refrigerators are junk

This refrigerator is a junk. They make them to last for 3-4 years max on purpose. We bought it to replace a Samsung that was year and half old when died. We got the Midea on 5/28/2022 and broke yesterday 8/23/25. Within the first year of ownership the bottom drawers with the wheels the tracks for the wheels broke. Don't listen to the negative reviews! It's great.

After reading negative reviews here from some people, I was concerned. Should I believe the positive ones, or the negative ones? You don't really know until you get it home and use it. I am not sure I am keeping this Midea refrigerator/freezer. Today the ice is shooting out all over the place. Crushed and regular. I prefer a bin inside that I can get ice out of the compartment. DO NOT BUY THIS

The ice maker gives half cubed, half crushed ice when on the cubed setting. When I called customer service, they told me that this is normal, and the ice maker is too full so I would have to empty out the ice maker. This is utterly ridiculous. They are the ones who set the level the ice is supposed to get to… so of course, it will fill back up to the same “too full” level and I’d have to empty the ice tray every other day to get it down to its supposed correct level.
