Great Router with feature no one else has

I bought the corded adapter so now I can use either batteries or a cord. Batteries need charging. No problem, I keep going with the corded adapter. Fabulous option.

Best cordless plunge router on the market
I LOVE this router! its significantly more compact than other plunge routers I've used. It has enough power for dados and rabbets, and anything else you can ask of it. I use mine cordless, but the ability to run it corded with the optional adapter is a great feature as well. I would buy this again several times over. Highy recommend!

Plenty of power versus corded routers
We are very impressed with the Metabo HPT M3612DA router. It has become our primary router for cutting operations in our manufacturing process. Our corded routers are now sitting on the shelf. We cut Lexan sheet material into pieces that are 200-400” long x 20-40” wide. We need to make several cuts on a single piece of material to produce a product that is straight and dimensionally correct. We typically make 20 or more 30 foot long cuts in a single shift. Powerful, smooth, efficient
Honestly this thing surprised me. I run a full time woodworking shop and do a considerable amount of router work. Everything from dado's, edge profiles, mortises, pattern reproduction, etc. So far I've done edge profiling with a half inch roundover, all in one pass. This router will also run a 1-1/2" mortising bit with quarter inch passes without flinching. With the way this router is set up, I don't think it would be practical to use in a router table though. Honestly, I only have one complaint...

In many ways this is a home run -- truly knocked out of the park. In other's it's a swing & a miss. The pluses: World's 1st 2HP, 1/2" collet, plunge router and it's astonishingly light weight & small. The negatives: I would have prefered the screw mounts for the Template Guide Adapter (323-272) and the Dust Collector (339-380) be on the Sub Base not the router's body. Powerful Router!
I am so impressed every time I use this router! The feel of it in my hands is amazing. From the ergonomics to the balance and ability to control the unit. I first had doubts, but not for long. I have used this to route everything from yellow pine to hickory and the router keeps on delivering through them all. This router while cutting through hickory, was just impressive. My corded router from another competitor is a 3 hp version, and it bogs down at times. Not this Metabo. This is a bad boy......

Best cordless router
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for about a year now. I finish the insides of shipping containers to many different specs. From smart panel, to pvc, to 1/2" 5/8" or 3/4" finished plywood and this router is always up to the task of cutting out my door and window openings. I had other brands cordless "routers" in the past but they simply couldn't do the job. Do not hesitate to get this tool!
